go lincoln center!!
From Arts Briefly in the New York Times:
Lincoln Center Theater has officially announced a new program dedicated to producing the work of “emerging playwrights, directors and designers.” The program, called LCT3, will begin this fall with two productions at the Duke Theater on 42nd Street. Plans are in the works to build a 99-seat theater in or near Lincoln Center, which would be a permanent home for LCT3; until then the series will be presented each year at an off-site theater. The first production will be “Clay,” a one-man hip-hop musical written and performed by Matt Sax and directed by Eric Rosen. “Clay” will begin a five-week engagement in October. The Roundabout Theater Company began a similar program last year with the Roundabout Underground series in its new 65-seat space below the Laura Pels Theater.
