new place.

I’m blogging here now. Which is cool. I like it here. Seemed kind of weird to be writing on a blog called “Theatre Conversation.” That just ain’t me anymore, sigh. So now I have a new space to indulge my narcissism. The new address is mrchevyceleb.wordpress.com

Why the name? What does the name mean?

Well. I’ll tell you.

Back when I was a freshman in college I made it a point to change my AOL Instant Messenger name. Why. I don’t know. At any rate, one of my favorite favorite bands at the time was this punk/ska group Less Than Jake.

Another key piece of information is that when my grandmother died (I was 17), I inherited her car. It was my first car. It was a Chevy Celebrity.

I was talking to my friend on the phone once at school in upstate NY and LTJ’s new album had come out, Borders and Boundaries. And one of the tracks on that album was, low and behold, “Mr Chevy Celebrity.” Brilliant. It became my life long (Can I say that at 26 years old?) online alias and now, I think a more than appropriate blog title.
